"Cresting"

A clear acrylic encasement gives this wave the appearance being frozen in clear ice. There is lots of texture and beautiful depth of blue and blue green glazes. How this achieved stared first with sculpting into Golden molding paste on wood panel board that was left overnight to cure. Then a variety of acrylic colours, glazes, mediums and salt were used to achieve more granular effects and colour depth. Then once cured a final thick clear acrylic coat was applied and then it was varnished and this is the labour of love.
