Floral Ascension

Titled "Floral Ascension" this floral abstract expressionisitic piece measures 9" (22.86 cm) x 12" (30.48 cm) and is done in acrylics in colours of permanent rose, soft yellow and yellow ochre, dark and light bright greens, blues and purples with just a touch of pastel pencil at the bottom. I love the free-flowing nature of this piece as I used some Van Dyke Brown acrylic as an ink to establish the beginning of the painting and then worked into the rest of it with acrylics applied by brush, both thickly and thinly. Just a wee bit of dark brown pastel pencil is used on the bottom to suggest more greenery. Signed in the lower right hand corner.
