Frosted Autumn GemsFall never fails to inspire! All the most BEAUTIFUL shades of colour from the darkest burgundy plum to blazing crimson, light green to brilliant luminous gold! While on my walks I collected fallen Canadian maple leaves that I chose for their specific shapes and sizes. They were used both as stencils and printing devices which as I built up the painting through multiple layers of colour and glazes of colour.
It took numerous layers of multi-coloured paint and pain-staking attention to complete this work! I am more of an immediate painter but I always hold true to the subject that wishes to be manifested. I treat it the way it wants to be treated. This painting took extra time but it was SO worth it!
