Truth and BeautyBirds flying wings outstretched, the fire-rimmed sun beaming, reeded streams run with fish, mountains with a distant waterfall or are those clouds? This original acrylic painting combines both the written word and the elements of nature as a commentary on the world today. We are hindered or helped by other's words and actions and we are ALL nature whether we realize it or not. Ravens are featured along the edges and they represent what is amazing in the everyday that some people absolutely fail to recognize, for ravens are highly intelligent, creative and playful. If we fail to see that, we fail to see how absolutely brilliant the natural world is and how we are failing it and therefore, failing ourselves. If we recognize the importance of each part of nature, including us, then we have a chance to make this a much better place of health, prosperity and a compassionate society for all. And truly all that matters, in the end, to quote one of the great jazz musicians, is "...Beauty and Truth, that's all that matters". Nature is beauty and truth, the beauty and truth of our existence.
