Under the Sea

Titled "Under the Sea" done in a natural earth palette of teal, turquoise, cobalt and ultramarine blues, greens, white, and yellow ochre this abstract monoprint measures 12" (30.48 cms) x 9"(22.86 cms) and the image goes right to the edge of the paper. In monoprinting chance plays a big part - you have to work very quickly and get one crack at it. When it works it's fantastic - the colours move, melt and shift in a very vibrant and determined manner. No wishy-washy controlled brush strokes. It's magnificent.
